Still beloved - Our legacy bright and compact LED flashlights

XeVision's line of high performance LED personal flashlights, the Aviator's Choice

Cockpit flashlights - The AViator choice

Compact - Powerful - Efficient - Dependable - Versatile

Complementary to our state-of-the-art HID Xenon lighting systems for Aerospace and Industry, we feel that LED technology has evolved to become an exciting and powerful light source. LED has effectively replaced incandescent flashlights for personal use. Now XeVision introduces the Aviator's Choice line of high performance personal LED flashlights. Aviators and service personnel alike will recognize the benefits of our High Performance LED flashlights. The XeVision line of LED flashlights are high-tech, rugged tools that are well suited for personal lighting needs found in Aerospace, Industry, and recreational applications. The light is so small that it fits in any flight bag, aircraft glove compartment or pocket - ready for any task and emergency.

All XeVision LED flashlights feature Cree LED's (see below) with six settings, 4 of them being output levels. The LED is digitally controlled for constant brightness. This flexibility not only provides for the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task but also has the ability to aid in an emergency using the built-in strobe or SOS functions. All XeVision LED flashlights are compact, robust , and dependable.

Aging incandescent lamp technology is being successfully replaced by high powered LED for both low and mid range brightness requirements in a variety of application fields. HID Xenon light technology is well on its way to replace incandescent lights in the higher to extreme brightness range like our HID landing & taxi lights or our HID search light. Both technologies (LED and HID) are state-of-the-art and fill their own niche perfectly. XeVision has decided to offer both HID and LED high efficiency technologies to aerospace, industry, airmen, service personnel, military and other governmental agencies in need of high performance lighting systems.

Our dependable LED flashlights can be carried everywhere serving your personal lighting needs. Pilots are supposed to carry a flashlight for all night flight operations. For preflight checks they are handy. Finally, mechanics have the perfect tool for doing quality work in the airplane, engine compartment and around the shop/hangar.

In addition to the standard black color, XeVision offers the signature line of our LED flashlight models, introducing the classy Iridium finish, characterized by a unique and elegant pale goldish hue of this special type III hard anodized Aluminum surface.

Super-bright white light from one small but powerful LED

Our LED flashlights feature commercial Cree LED 7090 XR-E, which delivers copious levels of bright white light.

The well documented & reputed 7090 XR-E has been tested to the highest standards in the LED industry. The white light generated is as cool as HID with around 4000ºK to 5000ºK. The current draw is quite small while the LED is very efficient with a luminous flux of up to 100 lm min. @ 350 mA, and a luminous efficacy up to 75 lumens/watt.

XeVision® personal LED flashlight models

Our line of compact LED flashlights are so small that they fit in the palm of a hand comfortably (click on the pic for a larger image).

They are so bright, even die-hard HID Xenon lighting technology purists can not resist.

Batteries and Battery Care

included with each XeVision LED flashlight:

XV-C1C

One 3 VDC CR123A Lithium battery (not rechargeable). Please note that this model is not suitable for the use of rechargeable ICR123 cells (voltage 3.7 VDC, will render low brightness settings unusable)

XV-C2C

One pair of matched CR123A Lithium batteries (not rechargeable). Can be replaced by a pair of ICR123A 3.7 VDC. We offer a charger for ICR123 rechargeable Li-Ion cells, see accessories.

XV-C2A

One pair of Premium Lithium AA batteries , type Energizer e2 L91 (not rechargeable). Can be replaced by any rechargeable batteries. For best performance, it is advised to use high capacity rechargeable branded NiMH batteries with 2500 mAh.

CR123A non-rechargeable Lithium batteries:

We believe Titanium brand batteries included with the XV-C1C and XV-C2C flashlights are among the best cost/value on the market today.

The Titanium CR123A 3 VDC non-rechargeable lithium battery is one of the most popular, widely used and tested, CR123A lithium batteries. At 1300 mAh, the capacity of Titanium CR123A batteries is one of the highest currently available on the market. The high capacity Titanium CR123A is designed to deliver long run times in every LED flashlight. Independent tests have shown Titanium CR123A batteries excel in higher drain devices.

Every Titanium CR123A battery incorporates PTC protection and the PTC threshold is set at 5 A. The protected Titanium CR123A batteries prevent excessive discharge that can damage lithium cells and may lead to catastrophic incidents.

For the XV-C2C LED flashlight, the Titanium CR123A batteries come in paired wrapped sets. The double sets come from the same production lot and the internal resistance of the batteries is matched. This is to insure the exact same quality of CR123A is used in the XV-C2C with the pair of CR123A batteries. The paired Titanium CR123A battery sets will prevent new and old batteries from being mixed up and used in the same device - a potential hazard.

Where to buy batteries:

(just to mention a few, AA or CR123A) Walmart, Target, SAM's Club, Costco , Home Depot, Lowe's, ....

Recommendations:

Use only quality 1.5 VDC AA standard or Lithium (preferred), or 1.2 V NiMH batteries. An inferior battery may damage the flashlight due to battery leaks and other self-destructive battery behavior.

Use only quality 3 V CR123A batteries. An inferior battery may damage the flashlight due to battery leaks and other self-destructive battery behavior.

Take your batteries out of the flashlight if you will not use the light for an extended period. Otherwise, a battery leak may damage the light.
